Press & Media Policy

🎃 Everything you need to know about media access and coverage at Halloweenapalooza. 🎃

Halloweenapalooza welcomes members of the press, podcasters, content creators, photographers, and other media who are interested in covering the festival and helping support independent film, artists, vendors, and genre entertainment.

Approved media may receive complimentary press credentials at the discretion of Halloweenapalooza. Press credentials are intended to provide access to the event for legitimate coverage and do not include VIP privileges or special access to guests.

Press Credentials

Press passes are:

Issued to approved individuals and are non-transferable.
Intended for news coverage, reviews, photography, video coverage, podcasts, social media, and other legitimate media purposes.
Required to be worn or displayed while covering the event.
Limited to the individuals approved by Halloweenapalooza.
Subject to revocation if these guidelines are not followed.

A press pass does not include complimentary autographs, selfies, professional photo ops, merchandise, or other paid guest experiences.

Celebrity Guest Interviews

We want our celebrity guests to have an enjoyable and comfortable experience at Halloweenapalooza.

A press credential does not automatically provide access to celebrity guests or guarantee an interview.

All celebrity interview requests must be arranged through Halloweenapalooza in advance. We are happy to pass interview requests along to the guest or their representative, but participation is entirely at their discretion.

Media members should not approach celebrity guests during the event to conduct or request an on-camera, audio, or podcast interview without prior approval.

Please also refrain from interrupting guests while they are signing autographs, participating in photo ops, eating, taking breaks, arriving or departing, or otherwise attending to personal business.

Filming & Photography

General photography and video coverage of Halloweenapalooza is welcome in public convention areas.

We simply ask that media members:

Be respectful of attendees, vendors, filmmakers, performers, and guests.
Honor requests from individuals who do not wish to be photographed or recorded.
Do not interfere with lines, panels, screenings, vendor operations, or scheduled activities.
Receive permission before conducting formal interviews with vendors, filmmakers, performers, or attendees.
Do not record private conversations or restricted areas.

Certain screenings, presentations, performances, or events may have additional photography or recording restrictions.

Panels & Events

Press credentials do not guarantee reserved seating or special access to panels, screenings, presentations, or other scheduled events.

Media members are welcome to cover these activities when photography or recording is permitted, but we ask that equipment and coverage do not interfere with the experience of other attendees.

Be Cool

Halloweenapalooza is built around celebrating movies, creators, fans, and the people who make these events possible. Our media policy is really pretty simple: be respectful, ask permission, and help everyone have a great weekend.

Halloweenapalooza reserves the right to revoke press credentials if a media representative behaves in a disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate manner or does not follow these guidelines.
